Continuity

180 Degree Rule

The 180 degree rule means to only film from one side of a scene, therefor the background stays the same and the character maintain on the same side of a scene.

Shot - Reverse Shot

A shot Reverse shot is used when a conversation is happening in a scene. It happens by filming one
character talking to someone and then the shot is
flipped to show the other character replying to them.

Match on Action

If a camera angle is changed half way through an action, the cut must be precise, meaning the action looks to have continued and nothing is repeated or missed out in order to look natural.
