180 Degree RuleThe 180 degree is the rule that means a scene should only be shot from one side of the room/area, and should always stay behind the line. This ensures that the characters don't flip from different sides of the scene and that the background stays the same.

Shot-reverse-shot
A shot-reverse-shot is usually used in a scene which involves a conversation, to show action and reaction. The scene is usually shot over one character's shoulder to show one of them asking a question, then over the other character's shoulder to show them replying.
Match on action
Match on action is a technique used when an action needs to continue through to a completely separate scene, but still look the same. For example, their could be a close up of somebody's hand opening a door, but then the scene is cut to a shot at the other side of the door, but the door still looks to open in one swift motion.

Shot - Reverse Shot

A shot Reverse shot is used when a conversation is happening in a scene. It happens by filming one
flipped to show the other character replying to them.
Match on Action
If a camera angle is changed half way through an action, the cut must be precise, meaning the action looks to have continued and nothing is repeated or missed out in order to look natural.
